How it all started

In 2018 I joined the Inlab at Hillsborough Community College Entrepreneurship Program. I struggled trying to find the perfect business model that was a great reflection of my upbeat personality. In January 2019 my professor realized how I was dropping the ball when it came to getting gifts and remembering all 11 brothers and sisters’ birthdays. I needed someone that I could text to run errands and bring the gifts to my family and friends, but I simply didn’t have enough time in the day to do so. I ended up starting the business and have enjoyed helping so many people remember and make their loved one’s special day. In 2020 I realized that 78% of my customers were business owners and that my valet drivers had been helping business owners build stronger relationships with their clients, generating more referrals and increasing their retention. At that moment I knew it was time for expansion, so I expanded Forgot or Knot to Dallas, Texas to help people deliver gifts to their clients, prospects, and loved ones during the Global pandemic due to COVID-19.
